I was stationed at Ft. McClellan from 86-87, drank the water during hydration formations during marches,laid in puddles of all kind of chemical mixes, breathed the fog that was supposed to be harmless..and was exposed to vx and sarin not to mention a buttload of shots that were supposed to be vaccines..lol..When I graduated and was sent To Berlin, Germany to guard chemical and nuclear 155 rounds that was great..I started getting sick bout 6 months after i got there..lung infections almost every 2 months,ear also,joint pain in knees and elbows that they wrote off to our forced road marches through the city..Had a left eardrum bleed for no reason they could explain..that maybe i fell down..yeah!! Now yrs later problems are alot worse, back, heart attack, kidney problems, numb hands...jesus what else do they want? A corpse so it's cheaper on them?? Good luck to all you fellow vets and I hope that you do better with the VA.
I have been reading more articles about Ft. Mac and it seems as though maybe there is some headway being made in the battle. I know that I am tired of being sick all the time and no matter what they give me for the pain it doesn't work, I can hear it in their voices when I call; oh yeah here's the hypochondriac calling for his pain meds again...I am lucky, I have my blood draw paper work before and after the live agent chamber and the graph paper it was charted on. It shows a low level of the cholinesterase level before I went in and after i came out the graph was charted higher..meaning?? exposure?? I am just taking the DAV's advice and gathering all the documents that I can and presenting them with my claim which i started last month. Plus all the hospitalizations for depression outside of the VA which were plenty,one being court commited for suicidal and homicidal ideations, which ruined me from ever buying a firearm, even a rifle..damn!!! If you have any suggestions about tactics that i can use i sure can use the advice now.
